International Energy Agency. For quite a few years a debate has been going on over the risks that the growing bioenergy sector would compete with traditional forestry and agriculture. The new report "Synergies and Competition in Bioenergy Systems" is divided in two sections- the first section focuses on forest-based bioenergy with in depth analysis of regions and countries and the second part covers the agricultural sector and a long term outlook for land availability till 2050.
